FAQs and Articles
We always welcome inquiries from our website visitors. Below are some of the most Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) we've received, along with our answers. Contact us if you have a question about anything.
Are you accepting new team members?
We truly appreciate the many offers for help which we receive. However, since we have the exact resources we need to mobilize quickly and investigate effectively, our team is permanently closed, and we're not accepting any new team members, now or in the future.
I live in another state. Can you help me?
We offer free on-site investigation services in a seven-state area within a 200 mile radius of Memphis, Tennessee (see our service area map on our Mission/Services page). We will travel to any location in this area when weather and scheduling permits a visit.
If you live outside of our service area, we offer a free intuitive counseling service by phone which have proven to be very effective in helping individuals and families understand and cope with paranormal activity in their homes or businesses. This remote service has also provided a positive resolution to disturbing paranormal activity in many situations. Contact us if you'd like to learn more about this long distance option which is available only on weekends.
If you live beyond our service area and still feel like you need to have someone come to your home or business to investigate, we are usually able to a recommend a reputable investigation group closer to you that can conduct an on-site investigation.
If you investigate, will it make the ghosts mad or make things worse after you leave?
When paranormal energies create disturbances (make noise, move objects, etc.), it is usually an attempt to attract attention to a perpetual condition of distress. When we visit your home or business, we have three main objectives: (1) determine the source of the disturbing activity, (2) provide a better understanding of the situation which empowers you to minimize or eliminate your fears and (3) assist energies in releasing from the site which provides a positive resolution to the disturbances in most situations.
Since our assistance is always offered compassionately and is never confrontational (we NEVER provoke), there is no threatening action which could lead to increased activity. Many clients report a complete cessation of disturbances and a lighter, balanced atmosphere at the site when our work is finished. See our Testimonials page for examples of different client results.
Do you charge for your investigations?
We have NEVER charged for an investigation, and we NEVER will. Our investigation clients often offer to pay for our gas expenses or donate money after investigations. We ALWAYS decline such offers and suggest that they make a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, if they wish to express their thanks.
How do you pay for your gas and your website?
To help generate funds for our ongoing expenses, we offer affordably priced paranormal investigator training opportunities at two historic sites near Memphis, Tennessee, where paranormal activity has been reported by both staff and visitors. We have personally observed paranormal activity at these sites, and other paranormal investigation groups have reported similar experiences as well.
In the future, we'll offer other affordable opportunities for invidivuals or groups to investigate with us at famous haunted sites in and around the state of Tennessee. For more information on these upcoming investigation opportunities, visit our Workshops/Trips page.
We'll also be offering recommended ghost hunting equipment and authorized Memphis - Mid South Ghost Hunters merchandise soon in our Ghost Hunters Store to help cover our expenses.
We are a Federally recognized 501(c) non-profit, and any non-profit revenue from workshops or merchandise sales remaining at the end of the year after paying expenses is donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, our non-profit charity of choice.
