Site History
The house is located at the end of a dead end street approximately 1-1/2 miles from the Vicksburg National Military Park. It is estimated to be 30-35 years old and had one previous owner. There have been no reported deaths or tragedies associated with the house. The owner has lived in the house since 1992 and has never noticed any unusual activity there until the middle of September, 2005. The house has not been remodeled recently.

Eyewitness Reports of Paranormal Activity
The owner has personally witnessed some incredible paranormal phenomena in the residence including cryptic writing and drawings on a wall in the hallway, small bright lights coming from a spare bedroom, a larger blue ball of light which floated out of his bedroom through a patio door and a pair of sneakers in gray socks which appeared to "walk" down the hallway! He also reported a foul odor which smells like "rotting dog food" which periodically forces him to go outside for relief. The odor occasionally follows him in his truck when he leaves the residence. Phone calls to two psychics from Jackson, Mississippi who were at the residence in early October confirmed that they had sensed a portal in a back spare bedroom which they attempted to close. One psychic reported seeing the same small lights in this bedroom which had also been seen by the owner.

Investigation Report
8:35 PM Michele and Southern Phantom arrived and interviewed the owner in his kitchen. Afterwards, he gave a tour of the house explaining where paranormal events had occurred while S. P. documented the tour on video. Michele's initial psychic impression was an overall "heavy" feeling in the hallway and two back bedrooms. She also sensed the presence of a man, a boy and a girl in those areas. The rest of the house felt "neutral".
8:50 PM Southern Phantom swept the entire house for moving electromagnetic fields (EMF) using his Ghost Meter. Initially, no usual fluctuations or spikes were noted in any of the rooms. The overall baseline reading was consistently flat at 0 milligauss.
9:00 PM Southern Phantom and Michele conducted a second EMF sweep of the back bedrooms using the Ghost Meter and the K-II with no unusual readings until they reached the back spare bedroom.
9:09 PM Both EMF meters registered huge spikes up to 5 milligauss in the back spare bedroom. S. P. set his Ghost Meter on a weight bench in this room. He and Michele both placed analog audio recorders near his Ghost Meter.
9:15 PM Southern Phantom positioned his IR video camcorder at the end of the hallway near the kitchen to monitor the area of the hallway leading down to the two back bedrooms. No usual phenomena was recorded in this area.
9:35 PM To monitor the area where the portal had been reported, Michele positioned her IR video camcorder inside the owner's bedroom facing out towards the spare bedroom. No unusual activity was noted.
9:48 PM While checking her IR video camcorder viewfinder, Michele noticed that S. P.'s Ghost Meter on the weight bench in the spare bedroom had begun to flash erratically. Over the course of the rest of the investigation, this EMF meter (and a second one used later) registered dramatic spikes and fluctuating readings indicating the presence of psychic energy. Both meters sometimes stopped flashing completely and then spiked in tandem to the highest levels they could register!
10:00 PM Southern Phantom moved his video camera into the spare bedroom to monitor the incredible EMF activity registering on the Ghost Meter. S. P. also placed a "trigger object", a Sacagawea gold coin, on the weight bench to see if it would be moved.
10:25 PM Michele placed Southern Phantom's K-II EMF meter on the weight bench to confirm readings from S. P.'s Ghost Meter. Both meters reacted identically to moving electromagnetic fields.
10:43 PM S. P. had just stepped into the living room after bringing a CD player from the car when he, Michele and the owner heard seven distinct raps which seemed to come from the back of the house in the area of the spare bedroom.
11:31 PM Southern Phantom turned off all of the inside breaker box switches. Incredible EMF meter spikes and fluctuations continued to be documented on video.
12:13 AM Michele and S. P. moved their EMF meters to the owner's bedroom and played a CD with two children's songs from the early 1900's. No unusual EMF fluctuations were noted in that room.
12:20 AM Both EMF meters were moved back to the weight bench in the spare bedroom. Southern Phantom played several 1900's songs. There was no EMF meter interaction until the music was stopped leading Michele and S. P. to surmise that the music had not been pleasing!
12:31 AM Southern Phantom played a CD of "white noise", a type of noise that is produced by combining sounds of all different frequencies together. It is believed that sentient psychic energies can manipulate the sound frequencies in "white noise" to form words which can be recorded as EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomena). Michele and S. P. are still checking their audio and video tapes for possible EVPs.
At Various Times During the First Investigation Numerous digital photos and several 35 mm photos were taken by Michele and Southern Phantom throughout the night. In response to questions which Michele, S. P. and the ownere asked during different phases of the investigation, the Ghost Meter and K-II EMF meters flashed faster or completely stopped, indicating intelligent interaction with some sort of sentient psychic energy. The videos below offer evidence of this interaction.

With "white noise" playing in the background, a light anomaly enters and exits the monitored area from the left and then reverses its path, entering and exiting again! The appearance of the anomaly coincides with Michele's request for confirmation of the activity. Close observation also reveals that S. Investigation Conclusions
Video evidence recorded on two separate models of Hi8 analog video camcorders indicated interaction between our investigators and sentient disembodied personalites. The capture of a moving light anomaly on video with corresponding rising and falling EMF meter readings is compelling evidence of this interaction. We are planning a follow-up investigation at the site in 2006 or 2007.
