Our mission and purpose.

- 2. Provide a resolution to disturbing paranormal activity if possible.
- 3. Collect verifiable scientifically based evidence of the spiritual survival of the human consciousness after physical death.
- 4. Offer paranormal investigator training opportunities to the public at active, haunted sites.
Who are we?
We are a small group of experienced paranormal investigators based in Memphis, Tennessee who have been investigating and documenting reports of ghosts, hauntings and paranormal activity in the Memphis and Mid South area since March, 2001.
Our investigation team is comprised of former members of the nationally recognized Ghost Stalkers of West Tennessee, the oldest and most experienced paranormal investigation team in eastern Arkansas, northern Mississippi and western Tennessee. Our members include business professionals, business owners and electronics specialists. We are mature, serious minded individuals with years of experience in the field of paranormal research.
Our research work and investigation evidence has been featured in local, regional and national print media, as well as radio and television productions and documentaries.
Since our group's formation in early 2001, we have operated strictly as a non-profit organization. Our workshop training fees and merchandise sales revenue have been used solely for our operating expenses (workshop facility and room rentals, website hosting, advertising, travel fuel, etc.).
In April 2008, we were officially approved by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c) non-profit organization (NPO). As a Federally recognized non-profit organization, we are qualified to receive donations or bequests from the public which are fully tax deductible.
Annually, we donate a dedicated portion of our net non-profit revenue to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. We urge our website visitors to support this internationally recognized health-care charity for children with catastrophic diseases through your tax deductible donations.
What have we done in the past?
We're proud of our accomplishments from 2001 to 2005 as the Ghost Stalkers of West Tennessee and from 2005 to the present as the Memphis - Mid South Ghost Hunters. In 2005, our Ghost Stalkers of West Tennessee investigation team was nominated for "All Time Best Group" and "Best Single Investigation" at the Ghost Convention International. We feel honored to have been nominated alongside such well known paranormal investigation teams as TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society) which is featured on the popular "Ghost Hunters" series on the Sci-Fi Channel and other respected paranormal researchers such as Ghost Research and The American Association of Electronic Voice Phenomena (AAEVP).
During the past eight years, we have conducted many hundreds of investigations of private homes and businesses thoughout a seven state area at no charge and have amassed an impressive collection of audio evidence in the form of EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomena). Examples of this type of compelling evidence of audible paranormal energy can be heard in our EVP Archive.
We have also provided reliable evidence and peace of mind to many frightened and curious people who have experienced the alarming disruption of paranormal activity in their lives. In many cases, we have successfully provided a resolution to disturbing paranormal activity. What services do we offer?
We investigate and document reports of ghosts, hauntings and paranormal activity in the Memphis and Mid South area using a complementary blend of science, electronic equipment and intuitive skills to detect and identify sources of energy including natural, man-made or spirit. If disturbing paranoramal activity is observed, we will try to provide a resolution to the activity if requested, and our success rate in providing this type of help is extremely high.
Our investigations are always FREE AND CONFIDENTIAL.
We also provide public Paranormal Investigator Training Workshops for anyone who is interested in learning how to investigate paranormal phenomena. These monthly workshops are affordably priced and assist us in funding our research work.
We do not use devices such as Ouija boards or automatic writing in our research work. Further, we do not condone seances or any type of occult practices when dealing with paranormal phenomena and advise others to refrain from such activites.
We use the most up-to-date audio, video and surveillance equipment to document our investigations, and we constantly exchange ideas and information with other nationally recognized paranormal investigation teams in a continuing effort to improve our investigation techniques and remain at the forefront of paranormal research. Where do we investigate?
We provide FREE paranormal investigation services to a major portion of the central southern United States including areas in Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Missouri and Kentucky within a 200 mile radius of Memphis, Tennessee. In special situations, we will extend our services beyond our regular 200 mile travel radius. If we can't travel to a site due to distance, we can recommend a reputable investigation team in that area.
We offer our confidential investigation services FREE OF CHARGE to anyone in our service area. We always keep the homeowner's or business owner's concerns and best interests in mind before, during and after each investigation.
Do we charge for our investigations?
We DO NOT charge for our investigation services which are always FREE AND CONFIDENTIAL.
An overwhelming majority of reputable paranormal investigation teams across the country believe that it is highly unethical for any person or group to charge for a paranormal investigation or to request payment to remove spirit energy from a site. We wholeheartedly agree.
If you are experiencing possible paranormal activity in your home or business, we recommend that you avoid contacting anyone who claims to be able to terminate alleged paranormal activity in return for a monetary fee.
How do we fund our research?
To generate funds for our non-profit operating expenses, we provide monthly Paranormal Investigator Training Workshops and quarterly Paranormal Road Trips™ for an affordable fee at public locations which are reportedly haunted.
In the future, we will offer limited edition merchandise, endorsed investigation equipment, books and DVD documentaries of select investigations though our Ghost Hunters Store to help offset our expenses.
Public donations to help fund our research are also welcomed and appreciated. All donations are tax deductible since we are a Federally recognized non-profit organization (NPO).
Do we post our investigations on our website?
We post the results of our public investigations (cemeteries, Civil War battlefields, hotels, bed & breakfasts, etc.) on our website for public scrutiny. We feel that it's important for the general public to have access to this information in order to judge the validity of our research while also learning from our experiences.
We will only post the results of a private residence or business investigation with the property owner's permission. Names, location, etc. of a private residence or business investigation may be omitted or changed at the property owner's request.
Do we accept submissions?
If you have an unusual photo, audio recording or video recording which might be paranormal in nature, and you would like to share it with others who are interested in paranormal phenomena, we can evaluate your evidence for possible posting on our website.
We also accept regional Mid South ghost stories and accounts of personal paranormal experiences for possible posting on our website.
If you'd like us to consider your digital submissions (digital photos, digitally scanned photos, digital audio files, digital video files, etc.), or your Mid South ghost story or personal paranormal experience, submit them on our Visitor Submissions page.
Website visitors who cannot provide digital files can mail their physical evidence (photo prints, audio tapes, video tapes, etc.) to us by USPS mail for evaluation. Mail your evidence to this address:

All mailed submissions MUST be properly packaged to prevent damage and MUST be accompanied by a self-addressed, stamped envelope with adequate return postage. We CANNOT return submissions without adequate return postage, so verify return postage rates at your local Post Office before sending any material.
Memphis - Mid South Ghost Hunters are NOT responsible for submissions which are damaged or lost in the mail.
