UPDATE! 10/30/07 Magnolia Manor - Bolivar, Tennessee
Radio personalities, Danni Brunn and Chris Jarman, from 98.1 The Max in Memphis spent the night upstairs at Magnolia Manor in Bolivar, Tennessee on Halloween eve, October 30, 2007 along with Southern Phantom and two engineers from the station, Kavaunjay and Steven. Magnolia Manor is the paranormally active antebellum home built in 1849 where we host monthly Overnight Ghost Hunts & Vigils™ / Paranormal Investigator Training Workshops. During the night, different members of the group witnessed a doll cradle rocking in the 1849 Room upstairs and a painting mysteriously becoming brighter and then darker in the same room as if a light had been turned on and off quickly. In the den downstairs, Danni, Steven and S. P. witnessed two battery powered candles slowly flickering to life and then one turning off just as S. P. walked past to investigate a sound in the next room. Later in the night, Danni, Kavaunjay and Steven all heard the sound of a woman singing or music playing somewhere downstairs. The highlight of the overnight experience, though, was a possible apparition sighting by Danni Brunn in the hallway beside the C. A. Miller Suite. In the photo below, a shocked Danni describes how she had just seen a white Civil War era hoop skirt swishing around the door into the hallway as if a woman had walked quickly out of the room. It's obvious that Kavaunjay is also shaken by the experience. Was this the spirit of Annie McNeal Miller (Dec 1850 - Jan1868) who died at the age of 17? During our first Overnight Ghost Hunts & Vigils™ / Paranormal Investigator Training Workshop at Magnolia Manor in March 2006, a workshop guest and several MMSGH team members witnessed the full bodied apparition of a Civil War era woman walking or floating past the Ladies Parlor downstairs. Was this also Annie McNeal Miller or her mother, Mary, who was the wife of the original builder of the house?

Apparitions of Miller family members who lived during the 1900's have also been seen at Magnolia Manor. During our June 2007 workshop there, a guest saw a full bodied apparition in the downstairs hallway whom she later identified from a photo as Annie Miller, the niece of the 1800's Annie McNeal Miller. This later Annie Miller died in 1979 and was the last Miller family member who lived in the house. Visible orbs and shadow figures have been seen in various rooms in the house. Guests have been touched by unseen hands. A phantom cat has been heard mewing in the Miller Suite upstairs. Coins have been moved and lights have been turned on and off. A limited number of rooms are available for our upcoming Magnolia Manor Overnight Ghost Hunts & Vigils™ / Paranormal Investigator Training Workshops. Bring your camer, audio recorder, video camera and an open mind. We'll supply the rest including a loaner EMF meter and hands-on training. Check in time on Saturday evenings is 5 PM. Ghost hunting equipment demonstrations and training begin at 8 PM. The conducted ghost hunt investigation ends at 12 AM midnight on Sunday morning.
